Vulpes Aurora comes from a family fleet of nearly 70 vehicles, built over decades of moving travelers around Lapland. For our Northern Lights evenings, we use two of them — chosen and fitted for comfort, warmth, and genuine accessibility, not just a lift bolted on afterward.
The 8-Seat Van — Our Small-Group Evenings
This is the van behind our regular small-group tour. It seats 8, though one of those seats sits up front next to the driver. For the most comfortable evening, seven guests is the ideal number in this van.
If a guest travels with a wheelchair, it takes the space of two seats, leaving room for five more guests alongside them.
Every seat is warm, curtained for real darkness, and heated without the engine running — so the quiet starts the moment the door closes.
The 16-Seat Van — Private Tours & Larger Groups
For bigger groups, families, or a private evening booked just for your own party, we also run a larger van with 16 comfortable seats — just as warm, just as accessible, and built for the same evening, at a larger scale.
This is the van we recommend for private bookings, where the price is set per vehicle, not per person.
Built for Accessibility From the Start
Every van in our Northern Lights fleet has a wheelchair lift built in — not added on later, and not treated as a special request. It's rare to find this in Rovaniemi's aurora tourism, and we think it shouldn't be.
