Our Vehicles & Accessibility
Vulpes Aurora is part of a family business that has been welcoming travelers to Lapland for decades. Today, our fleet has grown to nearly 70 vehicles, serving everything from airport transfers to private tours across the region.
For our Northern Lights evenings, we’ve chosen two vehicles that best reflect the experience we want to offer. They are warm, spacious, fully wheelchair accessible, and designed to make every guest feel comfortable from the moment they step inside.
The 8-Seat Van: Our Small-Group Evenings
This is the van we use for our regular small-group evenings. It has eight seats, including one beside the driver, though we find seven guests create the most relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. That is why online booking is open for seven. If you need the eighth seat, the one up front, please contact us directly.
When a guest travels in a wheelchair, the lift and secure wheelchair space take the place of two seats, so the group is limited to five guests in total, including the wheelchair user. That gives everyone plenty of space throughout the evening. Please let us know about a wheelchair when you book.
Every window has a curtain so the cabin stays dark as your eyes adjust to the night. A Webasto heater keeps the van warm without the engine running, making every stop quiet, comfortable, and peaceful.
The 16-Seat Van: Private Tours & Larger Groups
For larger families, private groups, and exclusive bookings, we also have a 16-seat van that offers the same warm, comfortable experience with more room to bring everyone together. It’s the vehicle we recommend for private tours, where the booking is made per vehicle rather than per person.
Built for Accessibility From the Start
Every vehicle in our Northern Lights fleet is fully wheelchair accessible with a built-in lift. It’s part of every tour we offer, because we believe the Arctic should be accessible to everyone.
